Do video games have a positive effect on society?
A study by researchers at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and colleagues at Paris Descartes University assessed the association between the amount of time spent playing video games and children's mental health and cognitive and social skills, and found that playing video games may have positive.
Whether video games are positive or negative is a big question parents keep looking for. Findings have been both positive and negative. Positive impacts as a result of playing video games have been noted on a child's eye hand coordination and an increase in computer skills. Improved graphics allow for a virtual experience, and this more real experience has a powerful influence on the lives of young people.
What are some games that can make a difference in our behavior? And what are the effects of video games? Video games can improve mental skills, such as: Problem solving and logic. Hand-eye coordination, spatial skills and fine motor coordination. Logistics, resource management and planning. Speedy analysis and decision making. Accuracy. Math and reading skills. Cooperation and teamwork with multiplayer games.
And parents are also very worried about how this will affect their children. Anything more than a limit is always a loss. Nothing should be more than a limit. Data were obtained through parent report of child's game play, behavior, and school performance. Results revealed that time spent playing games was related positively to aggression and negatively to school competence. Violent content was correlated positively and educational content negatively with attention problems.
And if you look at the other side of it, it has two benefits. One is that the children are protected from bad environment and the children are in front of the parents. They are also safe from drugs if parents allow their children to play games up to a certain limit. So there is always the positive benefit of this thing which leads to mental development and it also becomes a source of entertainment for oneself and others. A friend of mine has started a great channel where along with entertainment. There will be an opportunity to learn the techniques of different games.
